Latvia is at the geographic crossroads, where the East and the West meet. Latvia has the fastest growing economy in the European Union, with over 10% GDP growth per year. The Latvian market offers a highly developed logistics, transport and IT infrastructure, whilst being perfectly located for easy access to Western Europe, Scandinavia and CIS. The capital city of Latvia is Riga - the largest city in Latvia and also in the Baltic States. Nearly one third of the country's population lives in Riga, and over 50% of GDP is developed here.
Saliena is situated at the point of intersection, adjacent to Latvia's main A10 motorway, connecting the nation's capital to the transportation arteries of The European Union and locally to the resort of Jūrmala. The town is just 8 km from Riga international Airport, 15 km from the historical centre of Riga, capital of Latvia, directly opposite to the Retail Park and a short walk from Saliena Golf course.
