2008

  • Completion of the construction of the first 46 row houses
  • Commencement of the planning and design of the Babīte parish / Piņķi infrastructure upgrade In cooperation with Linstow
  • February: Commencement of the construction of Saliena Business Park's infrastructure, to be completed in October 2008
  • Saliena Business Park - offers 23 individual land plots for investment and development opportunities with full infrastructure
  • The start of detailed planning for the Retail Park
  • Saliena to open its first kindergarten by 2009
  • Negotiations completed to relocate the International School of Latvia to Saliena. To be opened by 2010
  • Saliena to allocate 1ha of Residential land to be used as a pilot project area for 5 new concept houses designed by Tiula Architects
  • Saliena Golf Estate detailed planning in process
  • Residential phase 2 road and infrastructure technical project started
  • Tender process and negotiations for phase Residential phase 2's infrastructure
  • Construction commenced for Saliena Golf club house, to be finished by 2009
  • Babīte parish territorial plan for 2007 - 2019 to be confirmed

2007

  • Renowned Finnish firm of architects Tiula Architects Ltd hired as chief architects for Saliena, to develop the Master Plan and Saliena's Golf Estate concept.
  • Commencement of Saliena's row houses project
  • Partnership deal with Linstow AS completed: According to the agreement, Linstow purchases 73ha of land for developing the largest retail park in the Baltic States
  • Partnership deal with Mercedes-Benz / Domenikss SIA completed: Domenikss purchases 2 land plots totaling 11,602 m²
  • New Master plan fully developed with award winning Finish architects Tiula Architects and Swedish traffic specialists Tyrens AB
  • The first children's playground opens for Saliena residents
  • 2 land plots from Saliena's light industry area sold to ANS-Invest SIA, for new office development and auto servicing workshop

2006

  • 18 glass houses in Residential Phase 1 constructed according to German Huf House design guidelines
  • A further 19 private houses constructed in Residential Phase 1
  • Commencement of negotiations with two strategic Saliena project partners:
    • With Linstow AS for their acquisition of a 52ha land plot north of the A10 motorway for the development of the largest retail park in the Baltic Sates
    • With Mercedes-Benz, represented by Domenikss SIA, for the acquisition of two land plots in Saliena's Business Park, for a Mercedes showroom and service facility
  • Row houses concept developed for creation and inclusion in Saliena Residential Phase 1
    • The concept entails the construction of 111 row houses according to German design and standards, and with German construction and supervision contractors
    • Commencement of project partnership negotiations with German construction company

2005

  • Saliena project acquired by Ostermalm Property Investment Fund AB
  • New management and project team introduced to Saliena
  • Project strategy developed. Norwegian architects Griff Arkitektur AS assigned to develop the draft Master plan
  • First 11 private houses sold in Residential Phase 1
  • 18 private houses under the new management constructed
  • Saliena's 74ha, 27 hole golf complex construction completed in compliance with international standards
  • The Ostby factory, Saliena's production division, built and commissioned
