Introduction
Saliena’s daughter company Ostby is the largest and most modern factory in the Baltics for producing wooden prefabricated houses. The factory can produce tailor-made houses to order, in all shapes and forms, up to three storeys high. It is equipped with modern machinery made in Sweden and operates under Swedish norms and regulations. The factory is in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Projects
Ostby has a 5-year history of successfully implemented projects in Latvia, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. Projects range from 1-storey houses around 100m², to 3-storey terraced houses covering several thousand square metres. Ostby has produced houses for various climates, including sub-zero winters, long rainy seasons and high winds. As well as wooden prefabricated houses, Ostby also has experience of producing wooden infill walls for concrete houses.
Why Ostby House?
Ostby houses are built in accordance with the latest Scandinavian technology. Only the highest quality materials with full EU certificate are used. Houses are built very rapidly inside the controlled factory environment, with no delays from bad weather. The wooden panel housing system is extremely energy efficient, and Ostby can produce ‘passive’ houses. Ostby is fast, flexible and experienced in complying with differing international standards.
